Trying to figure out if the vehicle I am trying book has single stage paint. The paint all over appears to be oxidized, no white blotches that I have seen yet as would be apparent with CC failure. It's red in color, unsure if San Marino Red or Milano Red...

    Any idea folks?

I did a wash, clay and wax on 2001 i believe civic and it had clearcoat...that was falling off but it was there.

If anything man, don't even bother with a car like that. You have no idea about its paint standard and you might do something that might mess it up. I'm not trying to tell you what to do, its just I wouldn't do it. Or just ask the owner and warn him that the results might be a little worst than expected.

Thanks for the heads up. The car would be for a co-worker, and this would be like a last chance if anything. Plus I am hoping it would be a good experience for using my PTG...

If I get to do it I'll post pix. It is tentative for the weekend after Labor Day.

The 01 Prelude should be a Milano Red. It's a tristage paint so the top should have a clear on it. Unless it's been repainted for some reason.
