Porsche Boxster S - Cobalt Blue

Hi guys, thanks for stopping by to view another write up! This time is a beautiful cobalt blue Porsche Boxster S. This car was booked in for a two stage minor correction detail following a visit to the body shop left buffer trails all over the car.
The Porsche was looking rather tired and dull to the amount of hologram marks on the car due to the poor standards of the body shop finishing. So it was booked in at Miglior to sort all this out and bring it back up to standard.

The owner wanted to sell the car and make sure it looked its best for the sale.

On arrival, you can see the buffing trails on the bonnet even from this distance!

A closer look at the damage.

Outside the unit we fully washed and decontaminated the car with various products and our safe wash process.

The roof was properly cleaned and rinsed.

Once the car was brought inside, we extracted the roof fabric

The car was now clayed to pull out any contaminants bonded to the paintwork.

Proof the claying and decontamination stages are well worthwhile on a seemingly clean car.

Now dried.

Now onto rectifying the damage to the paintwork.

This was achieved via a two stage machine polishing approach. The above photo is also after an IPA wipe down.

Looking much much better. The paint has been restored and the gloss, depth and clarity are probably the best they have ever been on this car.

We worked around the car in much the same way, here I am performing a long pass on the bonnet during the first of our two stage polish.

This is another example of the careless polishing performed by the body shop leaving lots of buffer trails and holograms taking away from the true finish of the paint.

Much better finish, some deeper marks are left in but this is not a correction detail.

Here we are refining the finish further to a high gloss.

Once the machine polishing work was complete it was time to get all the details finished, and complete the car.

Glass cleaned polished and protected.

The car was waxed with Swissvax Best of Show.

The wheels were polished with Swissvax cleaner fluid & Protected with Swissvax Autobahn.

Other items like seals and door shut etc were all polished protected and finished with Swissvax products also!
