Please take the time to view our full website!! Detailing In Lancashire Manchester & North West - Miglior Detailing! Hello there! Ive been useless as doing write ups of late, but as the weather gets better, Miglior is very very busy trying to keep up with it all! But, thats only a good thing! Anyways, its time for a write up of a New Audi A5 S-Line. Our Twitter/Facebook might have seen a sneak peak of this already! If you want to see daily update and photos, please follow us! links are in the Signature! This was booked by the Local Audi Dealership. You might be asking why would a new car need a correction detail? Well...Audi Were not too happy with how it was delivered. They tried themselves to correct the damage, but as we all know, detailing is a very specialised area. Furthermore, paint correction in my opinion is not an extension of valeting. The car was booked in for a full 3 day correction, which you cant say fairer as the Audi Dealership wanted the best possible finish for their customer! This is car on arrival. Buffer trails. So on with the wash outside. First it was given a citrus based degreaser to bite through the layer of dust and dirt picked up on the car. The wheels being done. Then onto a snowfoam rinse to make absolutely sure any dust or dirt was off the car's surface. Any gaps, grills vents etc were thoroughly cleaned. The car was then washed with our safe two bucket method. Once the car was rinsed, it was clear to see there was no protection on the paint at all. The paint was holding on to a lot of water. The car was treated to remove tar spots. Then Rinsed again. The car was moved into the studio whilst wet for the second stage of decontamination to begin. Then Dried Once we had a clean dry car, it was time to assess the damamge properly on the paintwork. The paint thicknes was measured and we looked at the condition of the paint under various lights. Buffer trails indicating someone has tried (and failed) to polish the paintwork. Very deep scratches on the bonnet EEAK! Now its time for the correction stage of the work. IPA wipedown Top right, polished. Bottom left, not polished. Pictures of an defect free bonnet under the sun gun. The Roof done in the same way. Now time to do the boot lid. Rear 3/4's I opened the unit door to have a look at progess under the sun. This is the rear bumper. A very very cloudy paint finish was spoiling the true potential of this car's paintwork. 50/50 The car was now placed on our vehicle lift to ensure the sides and bottom of the car was done in the same in depth way More buffer trails. Gone! Onto the front end now. Its all pretty bad to start with. Once the larger areas were polished, the small intricate areas such as wing mirrors, A - pillars and skirts were polished with a spot pad. When it comes to polished Audi's Ceramic clear coat to the level that Miglior can, it always creates a lot of dust! So, we spent 1 hour clearing away the dust! Then, all the details were taken care of. Now the Audi A5 is looking a lot better after miglior's attention! The wheels were polished and sealed with Swissvax Cleaner fluid And Swissvax Autobahn. The tyres being dressed with Swissvax Pneu The car was given a a few coats of sealant then 2x Coats of Swissvax Best Of Show! Please note: this picture shows the paintwork whilst the wax is curing. Now, here are a few finished Pictures. Not as many as I would have liked, but i had a limited window to get pics. Needless to say, Audi were gobsmacked at the results, as was their customer! Win Win all round, and good on Audi for looking after their customer in the way they did! Thanks for reading guys!
