AG is very good as BASHING products they don't sell, until they see that there is actually a market for it, they go guardrail to guardrail and all of a sudden show their loyal following of n00b detailers they are now offering the BEST of the BEST!

Remember when even mentioning the word MENZERNA on that forum was an immediate slap on the wrist?

AG as a company and AGO as a forum should be considered 2 different entities. The store itself is there to offer detailing products and the forum is there to inform people about products sold at AG. As a forum, AGO didn't like you to talk about products outside of what AG sold for obvious reasons because it is there to help the store and the store paid for the forum.

I don't recall any bashing from AG the store, the employees are far above that. However, on the forums, they limited talks about the competition at the time and several members took it from there. I see the same thing starting to happen to DB as a forum, they want to limit links and competition, in order to be good to the sponsors ... Another thing that is happening here lately is the lack of threads staying on topic ... I'll end my tangent and say that $50 for a tub of Fuzion is very tempting

One thing that my self and Carlos will not tolerate is other company's or representative of other company’s abusing there member status and promoting/advertising there company/services with out paying to do so. Both Carlos and my self have spent a significant amount of money to advertise/promote Detailing Bliss so it's not fair to us when certain members wish to take advantage of what we invest in. The current forum sponsors have paid for the right to promote/advertise there company/services, so it's only fair to have a limit on the amount of links posted. For the most part Carlos allows just about any link posted, I mean just look at this thread, it's about AutoGeek selling it's own wax, Carlos knows the individual who posted this thread and allows it to exist. However, when questionable individuals post links/promote a certain online store and Carlos doesn’t know who that individual is that's where Carlos questions the motive and he investigates and if it's found that the individual is simply promoting there own company/services that's when we act accordingly. Now as how Carlos goes about finding out who is promoting who that’s up to him, I stay away from that.

Regarding threads staying on topic, I blame Carlos. Carlos is consistent at having threads go off topic, I’m sure others have noticed this just as much as you have noticed this, but if it's okay with Carlos that's fine with me. After all Carlos is the owner of the forum and if he doesn’t mind the threads going off topic that's up to him, after all he's simply trying to keep things as open as possible and for the most part he has done well with the forum.

To conclude there are many forums out there, each one serves a purpose. Carlos hates this but it really comes down to there house, there rules. If you don't like it there are literally hundreds if not thousands of other forums out there, we are all free to choose where we spend our free time. Now I don't say this to come across as mean or rude, no on the contrary, I say this because bashing the AutoGeek forum is not necessarily fair, they have there rules/guidelines if you don't abide by them there will be consequences, just like here.

DB Boss, I totally understand your situation and Carlos'. You guys can do what you want and I was using DB as an example which is somewhat similar to AGO. What I was saying (which may or may not be apparent) that what happens on AGO shouldn't reflect on AG the business' image. Just because a product wasn't talked about on the forum doesn't mean the store can't carry it later in the future.

Ever since I began reading detailing forums about 7 years ago, threads always go off topic, I don't care what forum it is. Theres always somebody who seemingly always says ,"I don't mean to hijack this thread, but what about blah blah blah blah blah blah.'

Anyhow, like stated above at 50 dollars a pot I think it is a decent deal. I won't be buying any as I'm pretty happy with what I have, and now I will have Supernatural from Matirx to try out. The intent wasn't to take away from sponsors around here as Chris knows I am a pretty decent supporter of eshine. :bla2::bla2::goodn:

Should fuzion be topped with a sealant?

i would suggest using a wax over a sleant. if you use a sealant over a wax it will not bond defeating the purpose

I agree with the marketing. It resonates the Meguiar's NXT generation line which was too technological looking to look professional. It all reminded me of the racing seat covers from Pep Boy's.
