    Hey guys,

So a couple weeks ago I had a local professional detail check out both my M3 and 335i. He quoted me $250-300 for each of them. I thought about it for a day or two and realized that I would like to try to do it myself. So I searched over a few forums (Bimmerforums, Autopia, Detailing Bliss, e90post) and talked to Chris from Glimmer Glass Detailing and put together a package. I used a decent bit of them in my first detail. Please comment and let me know how it went. I think it went pretty good, but I'm just a beginner..remember. :)

Very impressive for the first time!!!! You must have done a lot of research! CONGRATS! BTW nice ceiling fan in the garage! A few questions, please. Why the jack stands? Did you pull the wheels off, if so... I am very impressed!!! What did you use on the tail pipes?

Thanks for all the comments guys!

I'll get some updated pics of it outside hopefully this weekend if it doesn't rain. Since the SSRs were my first swirl removers I've ever used I was impressed. They did dust like crazy, and I spent a lot of time dusting the whole car off. I heard that Menzerna is good as well, so I may try that next.

Thanks. Yeah I've looked on several websites. haha..ceiling fan to keep everything cool. Yes, the car is turbo so I used the jackstands to put it up and check everything underneath it before this meet we had a couple weeks ago. I also pulled the wheels off and cleaned the insides and used a wheels sealant. I used steel wool superfine (I think #0000), and some polish. The blue aluminum cutting polish (Blue Magic), and something else afterwards. I forget the name though..
