Sorry for all the other post, but I was trying to learn something new. Went horribly wrong ! Todays post is a 5 series BMW. Pretty garage Queen ! It was in good overall condition, had minor swirls, caked rims the BMW thing, you know. Clients bill was 240.00. This was my fate ! :coffee: Before ! Wash, :thumb: Dawn, as to remove any prior wax build up, stripping the car. 1 Bucket plus grit guard, Griots micro fiber wash mitt. Dry & polish with, Megs #3 machine glaze, 3M Perfect-it 3 blue foam pad, and of course a bucket to sit on. So much dust I rewash with Griots car wash, and dry. Wheels,:gross: Stoners all wheel brightner, Stoners wheel, and tire cleaner. Elbow grease ! Stoners glass cleaner,Carpet enzyme, Trim shine, ECT. Finish with Zaino Z2 pro, 3 applications at 30 min intervals. The finish !:applause: I did'nt get too many before pics because my camera sucks. Anyone want to trade a 9227C for a good cam ? As always thanx for veiwing my post.icture:
Looks nice and shiny. You may want to consider getting a stronger wheel cleaner for cars like this. Try Poorboys Spray and Rinse or Meguiars Wheel Brightener. Both are very strong so watch the dilution and do ONE WHEEL AT A TIME. Thanks for posting.
Great job there. I agree with 911 about a stronger wheel cleaner and I really like Megs Wheel Brightener. Oh and I'm kinda new to the Zaino thing but did you ZFX the Z5? I ask because I thought if you didn't ZFX it you had to wait 12 hours between layers. If not that would be great but everything I've read from Zaino says you need to do the ZFX to layer that quickly. Just curious.
Yes, I have the Zaino kit, the blue vile of flash cure accelerator. 2 drops per 1 OZ. About the wheel cleaner. I have to work my ass off with the stoners brand, but they give me great prices in bulk 5 gallons, and ship for free. the european cars, BMW, Merc, Sabb, volvo.ECT. always have horrible build up, and are often neglected for months. These wheels are often damaged, pitting from contamination, stubborn as hell ! Im worried about destroying the wheel with aggressive cleaners. Curious what is the cost for the Poorboys. Post a pic of an example of how well this cleaner works. Interested.
Thanks for clearing up the Zaino thing. Here is a before and after of Porshce wheels after using Megs Wheel Brightener and almost no elbow grease.
Yep, Meg's WB is definitely a great investment and last quite a while since you dilute it 4:1. However, I don't think it's something you'd want to use for your maintenance washes... of course, I could be wrong.
YES, for my valued clients its the only way. Thats some pretty impressive shit. I pay 120.00 for 5 gallons of wheel, and tire cleaner. I cut it 50/50. Works great, except on european makes. The dust on these cars exceeds the norm, and most owners just ignore the problem. The end result is damage to the wheel.
