Hello guys, I live in Indonesia, I'm looking for compound and polish. In Indonesia there are 3M, Meguiars, Menzerna 3M (US VERSION) 06060 Extra cut compound (it's about $28 in Indonesia) 06064 Swirl Remover ($24) 06068 Ultrafina SE ($25) Megs (it quite expensive in Indonesia) #80 ($23) #83 (#30) #105 ($44) Menzerna Po 85 r3.02 ($30) po 85 re 5 ($25) po 85rd not available in Indonesia I need to know pros and cont between those products, and opinion from you all about those products. Thanks
3M UltraFina, Meg's 105 Menzerna SIP, 106FF Not familiar with the 85re. Menzerna is kinda pick about humidity.
Well, in Indonesia we have tropic climate, the temprature quite hot here. Is it ok with Menzerna with those situation? What about megs #80?
Well so far I've used 3M UK and Menzerna, I haven't played around too much with Meg' line up. But if I was to pick one, me personally I would go with Menzerna. It can act up depending on the climate, I'm in Canada so for me it hardly ever acts up but it can act up. 3M works just as fine but me personally I prefer the 3M UK products over the 3M US products...just me though  As to the differences between them, I would say that the aggressive compounds for 3M, tend to have a longer working time they too dust up but dust is dust, it doesn't bother me Well just my :2cents:
If you were limited to three choices, this is what I would choose: 3M (US VERSION) 06060 Extra cut compound (it's about $28 in Indonesia) 06068 Ultrafina SE ($25) Menzerna Po 85 r3.02 ($30)
Menzerna, all the way! Remember, you can always get it from Phil, and I'm sure he can ship it anywhere!
The whole 3M perfect it 3000 line is very good and fast. I highly recommend. Make sure that you also use their pads with their products. John
the 3m swirl remover (06064), is it same in cutting level and gloss with 3m perfect it 3000 extra fine compound (80349)?
I wonder if people from Florida or Hawaii can chime in on what works, I assume very similar humid hot weather. I never have Menz act up on me here in Seattle, but outside on the driveway on sunny days or bets are off with any kind of polish.
Hi Mike. Just dropping by. How about Chemical Guys Diamond Cut Compound 1500? Any input everyone? Thanks before.
