Todays detail features a Porsche Boxter 2008. She bought it when her husband passed away, with the settlement money so she tells me. It cost me 92,000 she says. WHAT ? im thinking a boxter nearly 100,000. All the add ons she could possibly buy heated seats, navi, DVD, Bose, Sport wheels, ECT. I guess its possible im thinking. It sure is a pretty car thats for sure. So someone backed into the front end, and scared it pretty bad, and She wanted to bring it back to new condition I quoted her 320.00, and began to work her car. From this point she has been a joy to work with. The car upon arrival. The damaged area. I have no after shots of the damage, because my camera battery was dead. I would have taken more pics if I could have. It turned out great almost invisible to the eye. The car has a invisible bra all over it. Ive never delt with that before, but turns out its just like paint Makita, & Megs never fails. The after shots. The client was more than pleased. The end to the perfect day.
Nice work. 100k is ridiculous to spend on a Boxter, but it can be done... if you put EVERYTHING on it. One of the big ticket items is the ceramic brakes (which this car doesn't have). I forget what they run, but they are big $$$.
:deadhorse:92000 is totally ludicris I agree. im not sure but I think they start at 50000 or so. Im going to look it up . be right back.
nice work 92k for a boxster like everyone else said is crazy you can get a nicely loaded 997 c4s for that kind of money.
no way it was 92k unless there was a 25k markup.. no one in there right mind would spend that on a boxster. i hate that wannabe porsche. still great work. i will say porsche is crazy expensive when it comes to options..what are they gonna do next offer individual power seats? i would take a 911 s over that in a heartbeat. if i don't get another bmw 335 or m3 i think i will get a 911 carrera s.. i really want a 911 turbo but unless i buy a 3 year old one used for 80-90k i think i would rather have a new 911 than a used turbo.. but i could be wrong when i drive them back to back i might not give a rats ass if joba the hut was in the seat for 10k miles. on the ceramic brake side. i don't think i will ever get ceramic brakes on a non-track car.. reason being is they take FOREVER to heat up. you actually get worse braking in normal driving conditions. word to everyone on this forum.. if i catch any of you buying a boxster for over 60k you need to get your head checked out by a neurologist. seriously.. if you don't i will come and knock some sense into you!!!
There must be some type of mistake in the price because I'm not sure a Boxster would ever cost that much fully opted out. The wheels are not upgraded, the turning lights are amber, not even clears, no special mats in the interior, no special leather, carbon fiber, seat belts.....it's a stock Boxster as far as I can tell. That's not at all discounting the work performed as it looks great but some where the price got mixed up. Anthony
