That would be one hell of a merger. Meg's & 3M together could mean world domination in the detailing business.
I hope this merger is for the best. I'm concerned how this merger will affect pricing and availability.
3M is expensive...it is good but very expensive. I really like Meguiar's ... I am pretty sure this will happen, but dang. That is going to be a gross amount of R&D money. Edge+3M+Meguiar's = the best of the best products.
:sheep: what gives, okay something is definetly up with 3M. I mean purchasing Edge is one thing but purchasing Meguiar's is something else..there has to be something drivign 3M to do this. You know, instead of 3M purhcasing all these other companys how about they start talking to thre 3M UK side and get us Canadian/Americans some of the goods from the UK...just my opinion
Isn't that some kind of monopoly issue right there? If it is, then this will be something really, and I mean really, interesting to keep an eye on :waiting:
Whats strange too me is that you have 2 large co. with 2 different approaches how to get product out to the market and of course price levels. How that effects us,remains to be seen. Why do i feel prices will escalate. As good as there products are, if they jack up there prices too much, they'll be a wave of people looking for the other alternatives, which there is.
This can only be a good thing for Meguiars, there chemical products have definitely not improved over the years, quite the opposite. Maybe they will start making nice wax and sealant products again. 3M products rock.
