I have been doing this truck 2x a year for the last 8 years. I missed doing it last fall so the paint is a little worse than normal. I only had one day to do it so here goes. Engine and jambs cleaned with AG Powermax2 Washed with PB Super Slick'n Suds and Werkstat Lambswool mitt Clayed with Blackfire Poly Clay and Automagic Blue Polished with 106FF on Green LC CCS LSP today was Menz FMJx2 Interior wiped down with AG Interior Shampoo Carpets and seats cleaned with AG Interior shampoo Glass cleaned with AG Fast Glass Tires dressed with Blue Dew tire dressing Total time - 10.5 hours Stopped by my Pwasher supplier and saw this. New 25hp Kohler w/General pump. 25hp, 10 gpm, remote oil cooler and electric start. I'm in love! Dirty inner fender All washed and ready to go. Thats what an inner fender should look like. Even straight wheel cleaner wouldn't budge this. I don't know what it was. Light swirls covered the truck. This represents the interior BEFORE I started on it. The dust back her was the extent of dirt to be found in his truck.... But he had me shampoo the carpets and seats anyway. This is the second time I've had to use my shampooer this year. Whats the world coming to!! My work van. I clayed the small area that is all wet here... and this is the result!:gross: After claying half the hood... and half the roof. Don't ask me what that hairy thing is...I don't know either. Nice healthy paint readings. Funny though because when the client first got the truck, I wetsanded both sides because of deep scratches. The paint is all original. They don't build em like that at GM anymore! Some 50/50s for your enjoyment Thats what I'm after! All done! Thanks for looking.
very nice truck. you're right, they dont build them like they used to. aside from the swirls and dusty engine bay, the truck has been well kept. i would be glad to buy the truck off him just for that reason alone.
holy crap, thats insane! good job man haha I like the G35 in the 8th picture... yes i counted how many pictures
Stunning for a 10-11 year old truck, WOW! That's my favorite kind of detailing, older vehicles that are being kept in PRISTINE condition with a little TLC. PS: some nice correction for just 106FF and a green CCS!
Great job :applause2: Love that 50/50 shot..boy what a huge difference that clay and polish made to the colour of the vehicle...that clay bar looked quite bad, quite a bit of contamination on that vehicle huh. Another job well done :thumb:
Wow that is some impressive work, im very impressed with your level of correction just using 106 on green...i woulda thought that kind of turnaround would have taken at least 2 steps with a heavier hitter...nice job!
Some deeper scratches were still there as 106FF is a very light polish but it is capable of removing alot of the fine lines from washing the car which is what most of the damage on this truck was.:thumb:
