So I always peruse walmart, home depot, etc. for items to use while detailing. For example, I've found that a shower squeegee (about 2 bucks) works great for wrapping a mf towel around to clean the hard to reach areas of the interior windshield/back glass. I was in the hardware section at walmart, and stumbled across these: on clearance for 20 bucks total. another 11 dollars for a 1 1/4" (3.2cm) tube, and I have all the makings to reach all the areas I've wanted to in my car, but never wanted to pay 200 bucks to access! FYI, my wet/dry vac is a craftsman, and the 1 1/4" hose I bought was Shop-Vac. It still mated up fine. Just figured I'd let you guys know if you didn't already.
Cool Beans. I just lost the brush atatchment to my shop vac this past weekend. Gonna have to check out wal-mart!!
When i bought my shopvac it came with all those. I was disappointed at how ineffective the tools pictured on the right were. The cone adapter really reduces the suction to where it can't pick anything up.. and i have the 4hp vac. As for the tools on the right. I have been looking for a bristled brush that has softer bristles for a while now. If I use that one on any plastic is leaves scratches... such as my car cd player face, etc. If anyone knows where i can find a vacuum brush with soft bristles i would love to know!
Interesting... I haven't tried them out yet. My mind was thinking that the same air volume through a smaller area would increase velocity, thereby increasing suction. I'll have to test that out tonight.
I have that set on the right from Home Depot/Lowes and it seems to work great! I can't remember which HP shop vac I have from lowes but I believe its 5. I've been using the cone a lot.
