This Camaro belongs to a friend of mine. He bought the car a few years ago as a project and over the last three years has completed a rotisserie restoration in his garage. Car was stripped down to the frame and rebuilt from the ground up. Pretty much everything on this car is new from wiring to nuts and bolts. Other than the paintwork, my friend did all the work himself. Earlier this year I spent about two days polishing it. After the first day, I went over the car with paintwork cleanser and the paint was still so soft it actually marred the paint so badly that I had to repolish the entire car. Hence, the second day of polishing. The car was finished with RG55. A few weeks later, he calls complaining of hazing. Turns out the QD he was using reacted with the RG55. I cleaned a panel and applied Menz FMJ-a synthetic. Once again his QD caused it to haze. So he tried his Megs Tech wax. No hazing!! So yesterday, with polisher in hand , I headed over for another go at it. After another 7 hours of polishing and Top Inspection wiping down, he put his Megs Tech Wax on and hopefully we're done... for this year. Reflection off roof Car was finally finished and moved outside. This motor is one of my winter projects!:thumb: All in all the car turned out great. The Tech wax looked good but I would have liked to use something a little more exotic on it but after the hazing issues, he wanted to stick to something he was familiar with. The Tech wax was an absolute pain in the a#$ to get off. Took forever to dry and the owner has to tidy up some spots today as well. Thanks for looking.
Wow, looks amazing. I think by now everyone knows my lack of love of American cars, but I would pick this one up in a minute!
I would have to agree with FMINUS on this one, I'm not so much of a fan of American muscle, but this vehicle looks incredible, from the engine bay to the interior to the exterior wow, job well done.
WOW, I didn't read the text at first. I thought the first pic was a real picture of your garage. Then I realized it was a reflection! lol Great job!
not big on american cars either, but thing looks great. it's a MIRROR on wheels. BTW, nice driveway he's got there.
