for ss white paint. I posted the other day about my single stage white paint Accord. After thinking everything over, I have decided I am definitely going to go with Collinite 476s. I am going to use their pre-cleaner as well as it says it is made for single stage paint. Can someone please explain to me what the difference is between a sealant and a glaze and which one would be more useful underneath Collinite Wax 476s? Can you please recommend either a sealant or glaze that will bond with single stage paint and also with Collinite 476s? Please, when recommending a product, please spell it out as I am clueless with initials and translating what product it stands for. I believe I may have found a "professional" detailer in my area rather than the one who I used a month ago. I am going to meet with him tomorrow. Please note, as bad as my car sounded in my last post, my car is still holding a nice shine aside from the water spots penetrating the wax and embedding into the paint on my hood, roof and trunk. I am hopeful that Collinite 476s will be my answer. I want to thank everyone who has helped me a long the way. You are all extremely knowledgable. It's just too bad none of you live on Long Island..
Mate you gotta give Driven to Perfection Marine Sealant glaze a try it is nuts on any type of paint system and insane on whites by rotary or orbital, even hand It stands up to Australian conditions extremely well and anything can bond with it
Most sealants are void of "fillers". Most glazes have fillers. Glaze will hide small imperfections such as very light scratches and light swirls. Collinite should bond over either one ok. I used to use glaze, but stopped. I prefer sealant over it, because I like the sharper reflections it gives. I use Werkstat Acrylic Jett Trigger for a sealant, but will be trying other ones in the future. Sometimes I just use wax. Hope this helps. Roger.
I think Danase Wet Glaze or Optimum Opti-Seal would be pretty good under Collinite 476s. I hope this potential new detailer you speak of does great work!
I want to thank you all for your help. I recently found out that if I use a glaze/sealant with the Collinite then the Collinite will not last as long as it should. This would totally defeat my purpose as I have been having issues with waxes not lasting to begin with and this is why I am trying Collinite. Again, thank you all for your help. I truly appreciate it.
