Polishing 3M protection and tips with edges

I had a Lexus with it and it was only washed for over two years. Used M105/wool, then finished up with UF, almost made the clear bra invisible it came out so clear after that.

I know the 3M backing plate is not cheap but it works great. The yellow foam is so soft, I was really surprised when I started using it.

Can't wait to try the 3m foam pads with it.

 

Man must have been in rough shape, but I'm going to save this tip Asphalt Rocket as I'm sure it will come in handy, thank you for sharing :worship2:

I meant to tell you about that tap the green one you used,
in my car it took some paint of the painted trim edges on the windows!
I checked with 3M they said it has a stronger glue
than the blue tap, so I switched to blue tap immediately

As for the green tape, to be honest I've never had any issues with it but I'll keep my eyes open for it...see I switched over from the blue to the green becuase when I would pass over the blue tape with my Metabo the glue would get all over the paint and make a big mess, I haven't had the same problem with the green tape..but I'll definetly keep what you have shared with me in the back of my mind, thank you for sharing that info :thumb:
