This beautiful car belongs to the same gentleman for whom I did the '42 Caddy and the '53 Chrysler. This car stays in Florida and is only used when they are down there...it's only got 21,000 miles on an '06. I do believe it's the prettiest Mercedes to come along since the 300SL. The car was driven up to Windsor via a bunch of golf courses as a vacation. It had bugs on it from all the Southern States, LOL. For the most part it was in marvelous condition except for scratches in the bumper, gas cap area and behind the C pillar on the passenger side. I was going to get to try out my new Menz P.G. on this super hard clear coat. Since the paint was decent for the most part (I got them some touch up paint and had to do about 6 or 7 spots), I really tried to amp up the shine on this one. The interior, due to the colour, was going to show the greatest improvement. I wanted this car to look like it could go in a car show..I think I succeeded! The Process: Wheels/Tires: Barrels & Face cleaned with Surf City Wells cleaned with APC & Long handled brush Tires cleaned with ARO & scrub brush Tires treated with DP gel Wheels cleaned with DG 501 Wheels sealed with DG 105 Wells treated with Adams U.S. Paint: Clay with Riccardo Compound with Menz P.G. where needed (by hand on bumper areas) Polish with Menz 106ff with white LCC pad, rotary Glaze with WMF with rotary and blue pad Clean with DG 501 with rotary and gray pad Apply DG 601 by hand Apply/Remove DG 105 by hand Apply AW after curing time Touch up paint leveled with Langka Exterior: Exhaust tips cleaned with Blue Magic, followed by DG 501 Grille cleaned with DG 501 followed by DG 105 Plastic trim under rear bumper treated with DP tire gel Headlights buffed/cleaned with DG 681 plastic polish, DG 105 PDR guy attended and removed 2 dents in passenger front door Interior: Spot treated stains with Folex Steam cleaned all interior carpeting and fabric moldings Plastic areas cleaned with Woolite:Water mix Plastic areas treated with 303 Leather cleaned with DG leather cleaner Leather treated with DG leather conditioner Glass done with IG Vacuum thoroughly throughout BEFORES: PDR to the Rescue, Please: The steering wheel was the greatest save..magic eraser to the rescue: AFTERS: Sitting down on the job again!!
