so now i am super super confused...i have been reading for like 2 hours about this and i still don't know what to buy. i have been on every forum .i was all set with a setup of one of our forum members then they said check page 2 and it was a no go..but he said the foam gun was a no go and not foam cannon so i don't know what he his talking about now.

i just bought a brand new karcher 1800psi electric pressure washer after my husky 2000psi electric died out of the box.. it was surging and one of the attachment wands was leaking..what a POS..i was pissed..so i packed her up and took her back to HDepot and then bought the karcher at lowes..from what i saw on the display the GUN AND HOSE SUCK!!!!

please help me make my pressure washing foam dreams come true!!!! if you have any hot ladies interested let me know!!:joint:

please i can't search anymore i am dying for help!!!!

please help my 1800psi electric karcher find a better gun and hose that works with a foam cannon!!!

I am going crazy as you can all see please help!!!!!!!! i have seen like 3 different setups some say to use a few parts and have the part numbers then for the other parts an "i don't remember" or something..not very informative and extremely confusing!!!

karcher make a foamgun that attaches directly to the bayonet like the wand. It's $20 and is better than a gilmour, but not as good as the cam spray. The karcher one works with NO midifications.

i am interested in replacing the gun and hose anyway cause they are junk..so i figured whats 60 more plus 10 or so for the fittings..i just don't know what fittings and gun/hose to buy. :(

i thought the karcher foam attachment is a joke compared to a real foam cannon?

I bought one of the trigger guns and lances from Lowes to go with my Karcher. I also picked up a 50 foot braided hose with quick connects. Bought a few quick connects and hooked it up to my Karcher. It works like a charm.

unfortunately the setup that was recommended by pressureparts didnt work as Ive like it to.. im waiting for their email for a different alternatives... look into SHADYBREAL setup... lots of people already vouch for it and it works good...

I use the Karcher bayonett to 22mm adapter and a 22mm coupler I got from Pressureparts for $15. The Camspry comes with a 22mm to 3/8 adapter. It works excellant. The hose does suck, but it is quick and easy to disconnect the cannon and switch to a spray wand.
You only wrestle the hose for a minute or two to foam and rinse. No big deal.

I will turn up the part numbers again if anyone is interested.

If you can get the part #'s that would be great. I'm looking to use my camspray with my Karcher but don't have the $$ to drop on a new setup right now....this sounds like a great solution.

    Thanks!

my response from pressure parts it this gun and hose.

ok this is what James (super nice at pressureparts) said to use:

    353100 - Trigger Gun

    368212 - 12" Lance

    116103 - 50 ft Hose

    259710 - tips for lance

    331016v - Lance tips coupler

    331306 - gun/hose connection

i am gonna look around to see other options but this seems to work out..the hose/gun combo(GHW4000) in the above post has that plastic sticking out from the gun and it DOES NOT detach..so in this post is a setup for the cannon to attach to the gun directly..then to use the other tips just unscrew the cannon and attach the lance and desired tip.

if anyone has any insight don't hesitate!!!!!!!!!!!

and thx for al the help hopefully this works out!!! i'll probably order next week unless i find another option..with the foam cannon it's like $173.. i know it's a lil more expensive than other setups but this is the only complete one i can find..others i have seen don't have all the parts.

ok so i went the lazy way..went to lowes..got a 50ft rubber hose and a "perfectfit" or something gun and lance with like 5 nozzle tips.

well it worked at least i think it did..i mean first the husky i had i think was better when it was broken then this karcher..the built in system for soap is ten times better than the karcher and you can actually get the car pretty soapy and it sticks but not a thick foam..

through all of this PITA i feel like i should just go and get a damn gas one..i could return all the crap i bought and just get a gas one with a good gun and handle that works with the foam cannon.. the karcher is weak

today i had to deal with a lil wind and it sucked..the karcher with a green tip i could spray myself even with the other tips it wasn't taking crap off the concrete like the husky did..i wish there was a 2500psi electric with a real gun/hose combo.. electric pressure washers are nice..i just need that 2 inch foam dammit!! :)

now that i feel :crasy::doh: unless someone comes in here and tell me other wise i think i need to go gas!!!!!!!

if anyone knows of a good gas one that's not crazy loud and not enough psi to go through my door i am all ears till tomorrow.

Dude you don't need a gas one believe me. I have the Karcher 1800 psi and I got my foam cannon set up from shadybreal. Thing works like a champ with the Karcher. I used it for a while with my gas pw but damn thing is so loud I went and bought the Karcher and glad I did. Shoot me a pm and I'll let you know everything you need for a perfect foam cannon setup.

Yup, listen to JLS. I have the same setup from Shadybreal with the same karcher 1800PSI PW from Lowes that you're using. I got a 50' hose, trigger, foam cannon, lance and quick connects. It works great. Look at the thread by shadybreal or Motorcity about the foam cannon. You can buy the same stuff from pressureparts.com or everypressurewasher.com. PM me if you need more info.

ok i listened to no one...lol.. but all the info still helped a lot!!!

i just bought a gun and hose from Lowe's..it was the best bayonet style gun with tips and lance for around $60 or so..it was around 50 for the hose.

before i bought anything else i thought i would buy the Cam Spray foamer which seems to be the choice on here though people "say" foam cannon it is NOT the actual foam cannon.

guess what the Cam Spray fit without any thing else to the bayonet..a perfect fit and i foamed the hell out of my car with CG citrus gloss..it worked great. i got about an inch of foam covering the car!!!

one thing though..the cam spray is a POS for 75usd..it is super lite plastic..the can that comes with it is not the painted pressurized metal one shown on everypressure washer..it's just a cheap plastic bottle..but damn it works great..and i can attach any bottle(normal coke/pepsi bottle size) even a big 2 liter coke bottle if i wanted.. not the jumbo huge one just a regular 2 liter..it's awesome and does work GREAT with my karcher 1800psi..

one thing i used some ptfe tape around the connections b/c there was some leaking from the metal on metal and metal on plastic fittings..even my hose connection to the karcher needed some.

by the way the karcher does work well..but it is made like a complete POS..all the fittings suck..to get the hose off is a PITA b/c there isn't much room for your hand to go into the slot where both hoses(one for lance and one for running water to karcher) hook up to the karcher..but i gotta admit it does foam the car fabulously..so final setup with NO quick connects.

    1. Karcher 1800psi - ~159usd (Lowe's)

    2. 1 bayonet style gun w/ lance and tips - ~60usd (Lowe's)

    3. 50 ft hose - ~40-50usd (Lowe's)

    4. Cam Spray 527100 Foamer Attachment Foamer - ~75usd(everypressurewasher.com)

thx everyone for all the help. i really appreciate it!!!!!

    purplewindow,

thanks for the info! question...on 5/31 you weren't too happy with your setup which seemed to include stuff from lowe's. then on 6/5 you post that your setup was working great. did you buy anything additional from lowe's between 5/31 and 6/5 ?

i'm about to go to lowe's and buy what you have! i already have the karcher 1800 and the cam spray foamer is on the way.

    thanks for the info man!

ptfe tape mainly. :) seriously sry i didn't check the thread in a while and no i cannot take any picks now but will in due time when i figure out how to post them properly and once i do i will post a bunch of pics of my recent small purchases!!! :)

and i didn't really get enough time to fully test it out with the new gun..then i got the cam spray i can get it to about an inch thick with cg citrus wash and gloss and it sticks pretty damn well..

i am a lil pissed at how bad the garden hose connection on the karcher is setup with not enough room to work..it takes me a few minutes sometimes! which is just ridiculous to disconnect a hose.
i like how it works but the construction for the connections suck!!! gonna have to get something to fix that. honestly i like the husky more..the stock components are better and it cleaned my wheels better than the karcher stock gun..but keep in mind my husky was broke when i bought it and it surged constantly..but the pressure was good it was just loud as hell. and even though they said it wasn't normal i just figured quality couldn't go down since everyone talked up the karcher so well..but damn i don't think there is a piece of metal on it only in it..i shouldn't have to use ptfe tape on every connection but in this case i do and by this time next year i might have gone through a case of tape..esp when i move and get my own garage hopefully!!! it will be nuts!!!

the setup does work and you only need to order the cam spray from phil which i would have done if he had them at the time or i knew he was going to get them..hell i might have lowered to the 1500 psi and gotten the cam spray pressure washer from him as well. Phil you always seem to amaze me!!!

i knoqw what you're saying about the hose connect being a pain. i wonder if they make a quick-connect for hose nozzles?
