Diane is a big fan of hill walking... I'm not exactly the fittest person in the world however and at the moment, full day hikes are a little beyond me. However, Diane is building me up to it with a selection of gentle strolls - so I decided to take a few pics from this morning's walk up Montcrieff Hill, just outside Perth in Scotland. Parked the car up (looking good with its three layers of Z8 over Supernatural! ) and set off into the woods, nice sunny day: Little nature shot (basically an excuse for me to take a breather!!:lol: After about 40 mins, we were about half way up the hill and were overlooking Bridge of Earn: With good views down the valley: Gorse: Saunter along for another few minutes to get a slightly different angle: Proof that I was making it!: After a good hour, I was feeling like I was pretty damn good at this hill walking lark, and so I decided to have a go at conquering this: After a lot of huffing and puffing (and slipping), and being pushed by Diane - I made it to the top... honest, look! And I have to say, it was well worth it! Some of the views... Perth: Looking east down the River Tay: And some more random views: The M90!: And an arty shot: The better half: I was told that coming down the hill would be easier....... Still had to stop to take a few piccies though: The path: Random tree, liked the lighting in this shot: Attempt at artistic tree shot... The path on the way down was a little more entertaining: And to round off, a whole heap of artistic tree shots on the way back down - following the rule I was told that if you point at the sun, you'll likely get a decent picture... seemed to work: Have to say, it was a very enjoyable day and I loved the scenery - it was only 30 mins away from my house, but I had never been before and I'm really pleased Diane took (cf "took" by Diane... took = dragged!) me along Hope you like the pics!
