Disapointed of P21s Gel Wheel Cleaner...

do you guys apply it to a dry wheel or after you rinse the wheels? I just received my p21s and all these negative comments are upseting me

 

Dont be upset, Ive tried them all, P21S is some of the best around.

 

dry wheels and let it sit then rinse...i use a MF towel as well to rub off the dirt and keep rinsing with water

 

P21S is good stuff, as long as you have the right brushes to agitate it after dwelling.

I actually used Eagle One Tire & wheel cleaner with a wheel brush the other day and the result was pretty good.

 

I dig P21S wheel cleaner. It's not acidic so the changes of screwing up your wheels (or a customers) are next to nil.

I usually wash the wheel well and tire (w/ P21s Total Auto Wash), and then spray on the wheel gel. I do the rest of the tires/wheels/wheel wells the same way and then come back to hit the wheels after the gel's been sitting for about 10-15 minutes. I spray it on while the wheels are wet also. Then, I use a boar's hair wheel brush to do the face of the wheel. Now, that is followed by an ACE Powerstick powered by the Bosch for the inside between the spokes. Then a thorough rinsing entails.

 

I use S100 which is the same and it works great. I don't use it much on my car as it is washed every week and soap/water is enough to clean it.

 

P21s is good and reliable -- safe... you just have to wait a while after applying it.

 

whenever i use P21s gel i always let it sit about 2 hours... then it really works!

Yes it is...

The one thing I LOVE about the P21s is that is is so very safe.. When I am doing high end/exotic vehicles with high end braking systems I ONLY use P21s!

Nice, I still need to pick some of that up.

 

I like it because it gets the job done BUT is still safe..... Mind you it is not a spray on rinse off product and it requires *some* agitation but I find it is a GREAT middle ground of being safe yet effective - PLUS while it may be a tad more expensive than other cleaners when you factor in FREE SHIPPING from surfcitygarage.com it makes it more appealing.

 

you guys should also try CG's gel wheel cleaner. i use that on "normal" wheels. the only thing i use P21s on are high-end custom wheels, exotics, and of course my car whenever it's time to detail every few months or so.

P21s amazed me once when i did an M5 that had driven on a newly paved road, and the wheels got full of tar from the road. Meg's WB wouldn't even get it off! so i sprayed a GENEROUS coat of P21s and let it dwell for about 2 hours while i detailed the interior, and then went to wash the outside, and the tar came off like butter.

 

well i guess im doing something wrong, cuz i do my wheels with my griots cleaner every time i do my car hehe

griots wheel cleaner is a very good maintenance cleaner imo
