I'm moving out this summer, and wanna get a good washing machine. So far have Kenmore and it works without any failures. Love it. I was also looking at a few others.
Kenmore and LG can sanitize using steam, or hot water (steamer is more expensive), while the new Samsung is using silver ions to sanitize in cold water... now I'm not a good chemist, I don't even know what silver ions are...anyway, wanted to find out if silver ions will have an effect on a human body from clothes, how bad is it???
I like the idea of sanitizing in cold water, not that I use sanitary cycle often (my kenmore HE3t is using very hot water for this)...

Found this article - Samsung Silver Nano Technology, Refigerator Silver Nano, Washing Machine Silver Nano, Air Conditioner Silver Nano

Just wanted to hear others opinions...Need a little feedback, please.

    TIA.

I like my Miele washing machine alot.
Prior to that, we had a Maytag frontloader.

I have the LG steam I bought over a year ago..and love it....I do not use the steam feature that much as i have no babies in the house no more...lol..I just got a good deal on it with that feature...

When i first got it I was use to a top loader..so when I fired up the LG I did not see a lot of water so I thought it was broke...I called my buddy who has the same one and I asked him about the little water..he said its suppose to be like tat..about 4 gallons of water to a wash...lol...Man does it clean clothe...its night and day from my old washer...my clothes that were already clean I washed in the new one and they came out evn cleaner...

I am not pushing a brand..but a good front loader is stepping into the space age....lol...I was Fred Flintstone before I got a front loader..now I am George Jetson....best money spent....

Mine spins dry at 1200 RPM...and they are almost dry...

I wash my buffing pads by hand and spin them in the machine..and use right after thats how dry they come out....

just get a good machine ...you get what you pay for on this product

we replaced a top loader w/ a front loader, and the new one spins so freak'in fast it rocks practically the entire house. while this is good b/c cloths are less wet when they leave the washer it is pretty annoying.

had the repair guy out and said the unit is operating correctly and said it is not uncommon for this to occur when ppl replace top loaders. recommended i re-enforce the floor via the crawl space - seems like a lot of work for a washing machine.

So far I've used a front loader for the past almost 7 years, and love it...It's Kenmore Elite HE3t, and never failed on me...But because I'm moving out, it's a tough decision between Kenmore, LG, and Samsung..

I had a pair of LG front loaders in Ottawa before I moved back to Calgary. Sold them with the house :(

But no issues during the time I've owned them. Like others have said, clothes come out quite dry after the spin. And unlike my current house builder's standard issued top loaders, the LGs uses very little water, it doesn't try to rip my clothes apart, and it's quiet! My laundry closet was right beside the master bedroom on the second floor. At first I thought they were quite noisy since I could still hear them in my room. But I didn't realize how a normal washer should sound like until I moved back to Calgary. I miss my LG washer and dryer pair.

Haven't looked into the Samsungs... but when the wife finally decides that we can change the builder's standard issued pair, I would probably spring for the LGs again. Don't think she cares too much about the washer and dryer since I'm the person doing the laundry. And her family has always been using top loaders. So the "stress" on the clothes are more or less expected for her.

I'll be metered in a new house, so I don't want any top loaders...
