So shortly after I bought my GTO I ended up playing curb hockey with the side skirts. Well that blemish has been bothering me for a long time. I managed to purchase two new to me side skirts for less than what 1 new unpainted one would cost me. So my question is should I wax the new side skirts before or after I install them on the car?
Why not do both?!?! I would think throwing a good sealant on before installing would help protect them a little during install. Then, give'em another coat after install. I wouldn't think it would be that much to re-wax.
R they the side skirts you have to attach with dubble sided tape? Some are screw on, some tape, some both iirc. Definitely wax them before you put em on. Sorry I didn't contact u 2 this weekend, went to the baseball game on Sat. and spent all day polishing a friends' car yesterday.
No worries mate. It appears that I'm going to have to wait a while before I do the install. Going to have to have the damned car towed to the dealer.
Ooooo, I'm looking forward to you're review! I washed at least 6 pads last night, most of them 7.5" CCS pads and I gotta say, it sucked rocks. Gratz on winning the you pee dub!
It was a random drawing that Autogeek had. I still haven't gotten a chance to use the pad washer because weather has put a kink in my detailing plans. Although it looks like I've got two lined here in the next week.
