Does the cars color effect your choice of products? If you have a white pearl car and a black non metellic car would your choice of product differ? How do you know what to choose? I would think the black you would want the wet look where the white pearl somethin with a deep gloss that makes the pearl stand out? Am I on the right track? Are there certain polishes and waxes that work better for mettallic cars? or light/dark cars? I hope I posted this in the right section
To me the color pays a big part in the waxes and other exterior products I use. Here is a off green Buick Lacerne. Made it Shine! ONR Meg's Dri Wash n Guard (for the Wheels only) Carpet and mats: Folex and Aztec heated Extractor Wax. Souveran Spray Tires: Grape tire dressing :applause2: Wheel Wells: Adams Under carrage spray
I know there are alot of products that look good on darker colors like Souveran and a few other waxes. I wonder though if people put more emphasis on manufacturer paints with certain products.
:applause2: Great job Showroom shine. Nice to see you posting some of your work! What did you use on those rims? WOW!!! :druling: Nice job on the lines, looks great! :shead: I wonder though if people put more emphasis on manufacturer paints with certain products :shead: Good question! Now.... I am courious:shead: Who our most analytical member that might answer this. :shead: mmm.... togwt?
Paints from different (DuPont, PPG, BASF, etc) manufacturers do not favour one wax over another; there is no factual basis for custom coloured waxes with pigment dyes to mach original paint, the clear coat is applied for both protection of the colour coat and to give it depth, while allowing the paint colour to show through, some marques clear coat paints vary i.e. some are softer/ thinner etc. If you apply a non-clear wax or sealant, or a custom coloured wax it will only mute the paints colour and depth of shine I will concede however that some waxes / sealants look better on some colour paints than others; this however is very subjective and sometimes even borders on an emotive response Table VIII Recommended Products for various Paint Colours Paint Colour Suggested Product Red Zaino* Z2PRO™ Pinnacle Souverän or Poorboy's Natty's Paste Wax – Blue Yellow Zaino* Z2PRO™ or Rejex and Pinnacle Souverän Black (Clear Coat) Zaino *PC Fusion ™ and P21S Carnauba Paste Wax Black (Single Stage) Pinnacle Souverän or Poorboy's Natty's Paste Wax – Blue Silver Klasse* All-In-One and Menzera FMJ(Full Covalent (molecular) Jacket) White Zaino * Z2PRO™ Jeff Werkstatt, Klasse SG and/ or P21S Carnauba Paste Wax Protection From Suggested Product Winter (Snow/Ice/Salt) Rain Collinite #845 Liquid Insulator Wax, will last approximately 4-6 months Intense Heat (UV Radiation) Collinite #476s Super Doublecoat Auto Wax will last approximately 5-8 months Finish Kare * FK Synthesis 1000P Hi Temp Paste Wax (250oF) Strong Detergents / Chemicals Collinite #845 Liquid Insulator Wax or #476s Super Doublecoat Auto Wax or *Duragloss 105 Acid Rain, IFO, etc *Duragloss 105 + a sacrificial wax Note - * these products are synthetic polymers Sorry this table is not clear, I have no idea how to insert a table into text other than with Microsoft
