I have been lurking this forum for awhile and have seen many posts on these two wax's. But I have not seen a thread comparing them directly, so why not state which one you preffer and why. I have been using SV Saphir for awhile now, and looking to move up to one of the above wax's. I am leaning towards Concours paired with HD Cleanse and Field Glaze, but information and pictures of why you have your favorite of the two would be great.
I was just asking the same question to a forum member yesterday. He personally thinks the Concorso is better but it's also more money. I have yet to try either one but I would like to.
I have owned both. For my money, Concourso is a better wax. I feel the SV lasts longer and is easier to work with. The shine is a little "brighter" with SV (which IMO is not a plus) but I enjoy the ease of use and increased durability. After being a die-hard Zymol user for many years the difficulty of application/buffing of the product really wore on me. Of course, the Concourso does cost more than Concours. But, I feel if Concourso lasts longer than Concours then you're applying it less and that makes up for some of the cost difference. Just my 2 cents.
I have used Zymol Concours in the past and just got a chance to try the Concorso today. Definitely go with the SV Concorso, it is much easier to use and gives just as nice a look if not better. I like the Zymol smell better but that is it.
I use Zymol Concours, compared to all the other stuff on the market , there is no better,!I am over the moon about it on my M3200gt . If you want the best you should invest.
Okay... Both of these waxes are very good. Let us not beat about the bush here, at the end of the day, if you get the prep work spot on, you are not going to notice any real differece looks wise between the waxes you use, regardless of what you spend - they leave a subtle nuance but that is it, there main job is to protect the paintwork. I have and have used both of these waxes quite extensively, the only one I will buy again is Concourso because it is the only one for me which delivers a little something extra over the cheaper waxes on the market - and that is an additional small wettness to the finish. Its durability is good too, beading is quite loose with one layer but tightens with two - beading isn't the be all and end all though, and is not indicative of good protection or not. Concours leaves a silvery bling nuance - its reflective, and this is its appeal, but its only a very very slight nuance at the end of the day, as with all waxes... Its good, beads very tightly at the start as well which can appeal. But I found its winter durability here in Scotland to be somewhat poor which surprised me for a wax of its value. Something like Collinite 476 would have served much better - lasted longer with looks pretty muc just as good if the prep is spot on.

That is the tie breaker for me. I am looking for that warm earthy greenish silvery hue(say that fast a few times), I have steel-grey and platinum grey color cars, with Lusso, CG5050, P21S, Pinnacle I was surprise to see that under the sun my cars will look purplish and "bright" not so with vintage. I know it sounds crazy and I kept telling myself I must be seeing things but I'll try Zymol concours soon since I still have my reference point ( less than 2 oz vintage left from my last SKSK1 kit). Actually I like wax that hard to apply, thinking it must have that pure white carnuaba.
