I've been working with coatings for about 8 years now. At first it was a hand full, then they spanned out. Now I can't scroll thru facebook or other social media without seeing a swarm of cheap knock off coatings that promise everything from fire resistance to scratch proof. How are both deailers domain and other pros in the industry combating this? I even have customers at the initial quote phase ask why can't the just order what they've seen on facebook and do it themselves. I've had a few cancel their appointments because they went ahead and ordered these cheap products telling me they think it's better. The coatings I stick with are Gyeon, Cquartz, and Kamakazie. I'd like to hear how other pros are talking people off the edge.
