These Z06's are quite the bang for the buck with the prices they are holding currently. I enjoyed picking this one up and bringing it over to the house. I knew it was going to be a good bit of work but I didn't realize I would have 30 hours into it by the time I was finished. As I had seen on here previously, the clear coat is pretty hard. And as evident in the pictures, the paint was in poor shape and needed desperate refining. Lots and lots of heavy swirling and some stubborn water spots to deal with. I had to make my sections that I was working with smaller and it took 2, 3, sometimes 4 passes before I was satisfied with the result. All of that extended my correcting time quite a bit. I'm happy with the way it turned out and I think the owner was as well. Definitely a challenging but rewarding job this week! No Clay pics - It was pretty clean Inspection time... After seeing all of that, I refilled the coffee and prepared myself for an almost all-nighter lol... Getting started! Over 4hrs just to get the hood satisfactory! Something stopped by to get a wash of their own when I was ready for a break! Look at that. Crazy difference. *Yawn* Been a long night. Working on the roof! Going toward the back end is where a big difference can be seen! Wait for it.... Money shot! Front bumper improvement... After polishing, pre-sealant pics... Working on the Corsa exhaust! It makes a pretty noise. Sealant off, time to pull it out on another unfortunately cloudy return day Favorite shot! Thanks for looking! Hope you enjoyed the write up!
Nice work! Those corvettes are something fierce to work on. I have worked on a black one myself and it was a beast to clean up.
