Tonight I was in the middle of a job and my Rupes 21 stopped working. I sat it down and went to pull the extension cord over, it came unplugged for the extension cord and when I plugged it back in...nothing. I tried about 5 outlets with no success. I even waited about an hour to see if maybe it over heated. I had only been using it for maybe 40 minutes though. Any suggestions?

I would guess the power cord has an issue either in the unit or at the plug end.

I've contacted detailer domain and am waiting to hear from them.

I tried to call but no answer. I sent dan an email which he responded to right away. He is going to pass it on to phil. The customer service they have is fantastic.

Unfortunately no warranty left on it. It might be time to move to a rotary machine.

I work with grinders all day. If there is no warranty I would pull the handle apart and make sure a wire hasn't come disconnected . If you have compressed air blow out the brushes. Maybe the brushes need to be replaced?

I'm going to take it to a local repair facility. Might still get a rotary...you can never have enough tools. Overall I love the rupes.

Maybe your bushings, tried opening it up? I've replaced my cord and found the trigger mechanism can move on replacement/positioning.

I took it apart last night, took the brushes out, cleaned it etc....nothing. Today I take it to a repair shop and the damn thing starts working. We will see if it behaves it self from now on lol. On a side note, does detailers domain no longer offer the uber pads in a bundle? I only see them for sale individually.

I guarantee its the cord. Open it up, cut the cord about 12 inches back and reconnect the wires. This happened to me twice already
