New to this guys . Need to be steered in the rite direction. Got a big scratch out of black paint by wet sanding with 1500. Went over the area with 2500. After applying rubbing compound and then polish , the area is still dull. When do i know when the compound step is done and when to move on to polish?
Sounds like you need to work the compound some more to the point where the sand scratches are gone then move onto the polish
