Winter - Salt Removal Wash and Protect services offered at our location.

    Helpful Winter Tips:
    • Keeping your vehicle as clean as possible during the winter will go a long way to cut down the damage done by salt and sand.
    • Take your vehicle to the car wash as often as possible. Many car washes in the "snow belt" offer steam cleaning and undercarriage cleaning as well as traditional car washing.
    • Have your car re-waxed and sealed when you have it washed.
Make sure the car is completely dry
    • Carefully dry the edges of the doors inside and out, including the undersides of door handles, all hinges, plus the hood and trunk edges. This helps keep them from freezing shut.
    • Use a good quality spray protectant on all exterior rubber or vinyl surfaces. It may be best to spray they applicator you are using instead of spraying the product directly onto the surface. This will avoid any overspray onto the paint.
    • After a winter washing, apply an additional coat of wax to all exposed metal, using a hand-held hairdryer to warm the metal surface a bit before applying the wax.

Just as important make sure your interior is free and clear of salt as it can cause long term damage to your interior bit and pieces.

What do you guys use on the floor mats - I've read vinegar/water but I've tried this and the salt stains keep coming back

No, sorry. Wondering what your process is in your wash bay when it comes to these salt removal wash & protect services - as well as your foam cannon recipe if you're using it for this.

Firm believer in the less you touch the paint the better! I see some of these rinseless and waterless guys taking 1 or 2 MF towels, a gallon of water and rinseless/waterless wash to wash the entire vehicle including wheels on a vehicle that is parked outside 24/7 :shakehead: :shakehead:
