I thought it would be a good idea to "protect" my weathertech trunk mats with 1z VRT (I love that stuff.) Only problem is, now the trunk mat has gone from being amazingly grippy to not grippy at all. How can I safely remove the 1z from the weathertech trunk mat? IPA wipedown, SimpleGreen, blast it with a pressure washer?

I would try Optimum Power Clean.

I'd try an APC and let it dwell for about 30 seconds or so and then scrub with a stiff brush and pressure washed off.

+1 exactly what I would do.

Thanks guys, I'll give that a try...hopefully it works. Was a dumb move on my part to put it on in the first place lol.

Just I committed a crime by not following up. Adams APC, a wheel brush, and an 1800PSI pressure washer eventually got most of the Einzette coating off. It was really stuck on, taking several rounds to come off. Much happier now though because things no longer slip and slide all over the Weathertech trunk mat.

Thanks for following up. It's especially interesting to learn how durable the 1Z stuff is.
