2007 Ferrari F-430 Spider, this was my 21st 430 detail to date so I am very familiar with this make from Maranello. The owner of this car just picked it up from a local dealer and wanted the car gone through top to bottom with correction of all surfaces and the old film removed with new X-Pel Ultimate film replacing it.

Old film being removed(*Note the yellowing).

Old Yella.......... it was time for this film to go.

    Plenty of correction needed.

    First 50/50.

Good to go for the new film to be put on.

    Deep marring.

Working the marring out with aggressive compounding.

Combo of factory sand scratches and marring, poor car never looked right until now.

    Circa 2007 sand scratches.

2014 the year this issue is handled.

    More of the same........

    After.

There is ALWAYS sand scratches left behind on the drivers door handle until corrected, not one 430 I have done(Coupe, Scuderia, Spider) has not had deep defects.

    After.

Door threshold carbon fiber with haze from sand scratches.

After compounding on lower carbon part.

    Dry trim.

    Cleaned, ready for dressing.

    A-Pillar trim looking lifeless.

    Coming back.......proof of life.

    Looking good.

    Water spots and general dullness.

Client liked this when he picked up the car.................just a little.

Interior needed some work but not horrible, now the leather soft and satin finished and no greasy parts.

    Looking right.

Looks awesome! What did you use to dress the trim with. It looks pretty solid. I've been looking for something a bit more solid lately.

I must know your secret for trim as well! What is your process for cleaning it so well before dressing?
