My friend recently picked up this Audi R8 V10 when it came up for sale recently. Unfortunately, the previous owners (it's had a few) didn't exactly take care of it. He tossed me the keys, and told me I could have it for a few days and take my time getting it cleaned up. He had already fitted the Stasis exhaust and it sounds MEAN. Driving it around was definitely not a punishment. - Washed with the Uber yellow sponge - Dried with MF waffle weave towel - P21S on the wheels - Adam's VRT on the tires - Used the Flex VRG during the entire detail with a variety of Uber pads - All polishes used were Swissvax and Menzerna - Adam's chrome polish on the exhaust pipes - Interior tidied up with 1Z Cockpit - LSP was Swissvax Insignis v1 Below is the process, enjoy! Ready to go! Swirls, swirls, swirls... It's a Spyder, so the top needed some love. Side skirt had popped out. Strange. Ugh... Out with the APC to clean it up. After she was washed, she was pulled in and dried. Some idiot had actually polished straight through the clear coat and paint. See that white line? That's bare paint. Nice. And again. Be careful around the edges kids. Bump 'n grind. Liquid wax everywhere. Here we go! Sharp reflections after polishing it out. Swirls? No longer. I had to do this by hand.
Making my way around the car, slowly... After I wiped the inside of the bonnet with some QD... And here are all the afters. The Audi was waxed with Swissvax Insignis V1.
