Engine cleaning recommendations RX450 Hybrid

Does anyone have any good recommendations on what to stay away from inside the engine bay? If I can't get any good suggestions I plan on just going gentle with some Adams all purpose cleaner and some uber microfiber towels and then follow it up with some Adams In and Out.

 

On a newer vehicle like the Lexus the covers really do a great job protecting the electronics. That being said don't flood the engine, just spritz some APC, agitate the dirty areas, rinse off.

Dry the motor and dress it.
