5 months ago the customer placed an order for a gl450 and after 12 weeks it arrived at the stealership, untouched. They were instructed to NOT touch the paint. It took a ton of effort on our side during those 12 weeks to make them understand that the paint had to be left alone. Unfortunately, shortly after the car was off the truck, someone backed into the back of the suv. Of course the dealer wanted the customer to take delivery of it once it was fixed, but I told him to order another one. This car was 4 weeks early, and we made sure that it was picked up asap! Guess what? Untouched be the dealer, the paint was PERFECT!rops: PROCESS: Dawn/APC foam bath Clay towel HD POLISH IPA OPTI COAT PRO Wheels received OC Front and back Glass - OPTI GLASS PRO PERL on tires/trim Before _C120001.jpg by savingspaces33, on Flickr LOVE using Costco towels for the right jobs PC120002.jpg by savingspaces33, on Flickr Late at night and raining outside but here are some after shots. _C120003.jpg by savingspaces33, on Flickr _C120004.jpg by savingspaces33, on Flickr _C120006.jpg by savingspaces33, on Flickr _C120007.jpg by savingspaces33, on Flickr _C120008.jpg by savingspaces33, on Flickr _C120010.jpg by savingspaces33, on Flickr _C120012.jpg by savingspaces33, on Flickr
Beast of an SUV, these are giants on the road. Unbelievable that after all that waiting, the SUV was damaged to the point where the customer had to order another one.
It wasn't the client, I suggested that he refuses delivery. Would you buy a new car that has a rear bumper resprayed and rear glass replaced? To me that is not a new car anymore. Plus you can imagine how that car must have looked like after the body shop was finished with the car.
Oh, I agree with you. I absolutely would not. Just saying it's unfortunate that after waiting for it for so long, it was damaged, and the customer had to wait again.
