Pre-sale preparation on a 98’ Mustang GT Convertible. The owner wanted to clean this car up and make it more presentable for sale. He wanted all areas of the car touched, including the engine and moldy trunk area. Services Performed: Engine degrease and dressing Convertible top decontamination Hand wash AIO paint correction for light surface defect removal and gloss restoration Interior renewal to decontaminate and dress odors, grime, and dirty nooks and crannies The car turned out terrific, it presents much better now than when it arrived. No doubt it won’t be for sale for long! Please enjoy these pictures of the work completed. Comments, questions always appreciated. Great turnaround. Do you mind sharing your process to clean the top? I have never done convertibles and would love to tackle one next year.
Thanks G! I rarely have to pull out my 303 convertible top cleaner, but on this one it was like night/day difference. Before pulling out the 303, I had tried steam wand covered in MF towels, and hot APC through the steamer, then OPT PC 3:1. Agitated these with a fairly stiff brush, but really wasn't doing much. The 303 with a stiff brush followed by pressure washer made all the difference in the world. I definitely spot tested all of these options and used light pressure as this top was old and worn out. It really held up well though.
