DA accessory?

Where can I get an "extender" for my DA that will make it convenient to put a small pad (3 inch?) on my GG 6" for tight areas?

 

Not sure I just use the GG3 DA love the thing.

 

I have never seen an extension for a random orbital..
Have only seen extensions for Rotary machines..

Do you just want to put a 3" backing plate on the DA?
If so, they sell those..

Yes.
But looking over the car I can see where an extended shaft would be usefull to get the 3 in. pad into certain areas. Otherwise the body of the machine may impact parts of the car you are not working.

 

Don't think such a thing exists. I would think there would be a lot more stress on it with a DA compared to a rotary extension. I have and use an extension on my rotary with small pads all the time. It does make it easier to reach certain places. So if rotary is not an option for you and you definately can not get the DA in there safely then it looks like it will be hand polishing.
