Recently completed, this Ferrari is driven almost daily and had some "Patina" to show the evidence of this. As it came in. Carpet lined wheel wells were dirty with grass and other "Road butter". Leaves and some hard water spots. Dried wax residue in clearfilm edges. One of the few places I found some sanding scratches................... I was really surprised as this is not the case on all the 458 models I have worked on. Aggressive compounding corrected the defect. After the first day, sharing company with the recently finished S6. Not tremendous marring, but still required compounding on this hard paint. Clarity & gloss returning. Starting to get that "Look". Mirror winglet being gloss black was marred(With the softness). Looking better. Correcting ALL parts of the car. Hood liner needed attention. Attention is what it got....................... with the Cleaness. Cowl on point. Very few Automobiles in the world can say their car has a "Sexy Engine" , this Ferrari can. Exhaust tips & diffuser with the dryness. Not anymore......................Dryness abatement.
Great job on the car. Did you actually polish the jambs with a machine ? What type of polisher did you use? I have tried with my 3" GG and I am afraid I will chew up the soft rubber gasket material. I usually just do the best I can by hand. Really nice job.
I use everything I have(Griots, Rupes) and the "Elbow grease machine" to safely correct and polish the paint.
Thanks Bob, and again, great job on the car. Love the final pictues. Glad to see someone using a car like this as a DD. Lucky Guy.
