My best friend's boss recently bought this GranTurismo and she asked me if I could anything about this scratch on the bonnet. She did not have a clue how it got there, but it could feel it with my nail. Looked deep! But I told her I'd give it a try...

It had less than 4,000 miles on the ticker so just a bit dirty.

The inner barrels had never been cleaned. Oops!

    Here is the scratch.

After I washed the car, I tried removing the scratch with FG400 and you can tell it made a slight difference, but it really was too deep. Only wetsanding could take this one out. I was able to minimize the top scratch though.

Wheels much cleaner. I used Sonax Full Effect here.

And the afters. The wax I used was Swissvax Mirage.

The second picture of the scratch you see is the "after" picture. They were both very deep, and my nails caught them very very easily. I could not polish them out.

Great work Piet on a sexy beast. I need to do a writeup one of these days ... I hate documenting details!!

Thanks! I enjoy photography, so don't mind documenting that. What's more annoying is downloading the pics, resizing them, them uploading them to my server etc. That's what takes a lot of time. But I don't do many details, so don't mind doing it every once in a while.
