It should be a good unit for you. I like the one I just purchased a lot! I came from a 2500PSI 2.2gpm gas unit also.

For me I like that the water inlet on the 5.85M is brass instead of plastic like the one you are looking to buy.

Opt for the K5.740. It has a beefier body but the same motor, pump, and price.
