So far I like Adams Spray Sealant for it's easy of application, quick cure time and durability to be around 3 months. I even coated my white powder coated pedestal mailbox with it about a month ago. Also great on wheels for quick application of protection. So I have been happy with but wanted to know has anyone use Adams Spray Sealant on top of coatings? Can it be used on top of a semi/permanent coating? I know Sonax Polymer Net Shield is specifically made to top coatings, but was curious if Adams can too?

It CAN be used as a topper. But we don't recommend it. The durability of this product is much greater when applied to bare clear. If you're only seeing ~3 months of durability from it, then there could potentially be a gap in the application method. I see "normal" durability (on a garage-kept daily driver for example - outside during day, garaged at night) of this product, well into 5-6 months regularly! And feedback from our customers dictates this as well.

Thanx for the response Chase. I am seeing 3-4 months in NYC weather on a vehicle that is daily driven, parked outside 24/7 and mostly washed at a local car wash. The vehicle was washed and clayed prior to 1 application, I did not do a second coat. Do you recommend an additional step or different procedure?

No problem bro! That sounds "about" right. Maybe a little light on durability, but not unusual, due to the car LIVING outside. Did you do an IPA wipedown before application? That will help it last a bit longer, if you didn't. As it would bond to the paint stronger.

The only thing I'd recommend is layering Americana Paste Wax over it, for a bit more shine AND, of course, length of protection. But for a car that's driven like that, and run through car washes like stated.....well. You're testing the limits of Quick Sealant for sure. Keep me posted! :)

Also to add to what Chase is saying.. Be careful if you're using the local car wash's soap.. I've heard those soaps are quite strong and pretty easily strip away LSP's.

Something different to use would be Adam's Car Wash Shampoo - a pH neutral, gentle, foamy soap. You'll be glad you switched. :)

Thanx for the responses and suggestions. The only reason it is taken to the car wash is it is a company car and they pay for it. I use it to test free samples or new detailing products on ............lol. I do wash it myself when I can get a chance.
