I don't under how a show shine thread can have over 100 views and no one comment on someones work. We all work very hard at what we do here and of respect it takes 3 seconds to say "Say Good Job". Todd
Todd Im sure you work hard. maybe ask the forum members what they would like to see? give the guys/girls what they looking for, then you'll be a star in no time! When I open a show n shine tread, I like seeing before n afters of the same angle, 50/50s. Good pictures ( meaning good lighting ). and how you made the the car you detailed looked so good, like telling a story.
I'm not talking about my stuff! I was looking at the new post today and there was over a 100 views on two different post on no replies.
Few reasons. Main reason probably is that a lot of people on these forums are lurkers. So even though it can have 100 views, that might not all be from forum members that post a lot. Second reason is that people tend to be impressed more when the pictures are of high quality, the process is explained properly, you see which products are used etc. Personally, I'm less likely to comment when it looks more like an advertisement for someone's business vs. someone who worked really hard in using the products they had to make a big difference. The Rusty Super is a good example here. I'm always impressed in how he turns cars around, even though he often only has OTC products.
How many times have you read someone say ‘Thank you’ for a posted solution to their problem, or even providing feedback on whether it worked (or not)- it’s about as rare as someone using the ‘search’ function; same thing goes for posted details (traeted more like 'eye candy' than the actual hard work put into the result end of rant
