A local forum member was looking to get his Prius looking good again, so he called me up and we set it up. I'd done a few Prius' before, but none of those owners wanted to pay for correction work. This particular one was unlike any Prius I had seen.....it actually looked pretty slick! Owner had put some wheels on it, low profile tires, ground effects kit, and lowering springs. Best looking Prius I'd ever seen. He called it "the appliance" because its like a washing machine....just another appliance the family uses. A portion of the car had been repainted, and there were "body shop issues" to work out. The paint was on the softer side and corrected well. A simple correction, but still resulted in about 85% correction which the owner was very happy with. Pics after the initial wash. Tires were a bit dried out.... Very dull paint, heavy scratches and swirls A present from the body shop.......... After a couple rounds of compounding. Goal was not full correction, but a very solid improvement. Goal achieved. Stripping the oxidation off the low profile tires. 50/50 shot Finished pictures Thanks for checking it out!
I always have trouble with tires that are dried out so bad like that, please any advice appreciated. great work
weird that's what I use, but when I have tires brown like that I can never make a dent in it at all, even after letting it dwell for a minute.
