I often get asked the question, "Why do you need to detail a new car? If the car is new you don't have to do anything since it's clean." Well, yes and no. Just because a car is new and 'clean' doesn't mean that it has been properly cleaned and protected so that it will look good for years to come. Oftentimes the people who get their hands on the car before you do are the ones who do the most damage (Dealership detailers, shipment etc.). Why risk such a large investment when you don't have to? The owner of this 335i decided to get the car started off on the right foot with the best of the best coating, polishing and preparation possible as soon as possible. When he saw the result he was very happy with that decision, and so was I.

Car was dropped off early in the morning, and this was the condition it was in. Owner made it very clear he did NOT want anybody touching the car prior to him receiving the vehicle. That was definitely the right thing to do.

Vehicle was then giving a citrus foam wash to remove any residual protection/tar/other contaminants that were found on the paint.

Vehicle was then dried, clayed, and inspected for defects.

    Glass coating curing

Coating was then applied, after discussing several options we decided that CQuartz UK would be the best option. Reload was applied 1 hour after the coating to help prevent water spots during the 12h curing timeframe.

    And the final result, enjoy!

Thanks guys!! CQuartz UK for the most part was pretty easy to remove except when the sun came out when I was working on the driver side. It flashed faster than I could take it off and required quite the work to remove it as it got fairly tacky.

Bob, your right on about that one. As we both know no details are missed by you! Young LT stationed at Coronado I think. Great guy as well!

Couldn't agree more Bob, all of my military clients get 10% off and this client was no exception. The overall cost of this new car prep with coating was well more than a 10% discount that was adjusted in the initial price. I also extend that 10% to any retired or former military personnel. We would not be able to do the kind of work we do without these great men and women risking their lives to protect us. My deepest gratitude goes out to them.
