Is a third coat a waste of time and product ?or will it do anything to enhance the look? On a well prepped Bright Silver metallic
Two IMO is pushing it. Layering sealant is not like layering a wax on top of a sealant, the sealants chemicals/ solvents will basically absorb into the last layer. How far apart are you spacing your coats time wise? Ive done two, and noticed no real difference in looks, only benefit IMO of doing two coats is guaranteeing 100% coverage, not necessarily stacking product. Others may differ. Usually if I use a traditional sealant I am topping off with a wax after........
A week. I can't really apply till Sunday and usually wait 12-24 hrs between coats normally.I had the time to apply a second yesterday and it seemed to be a bit more intense. I probably leave it at 2 and top with some concorso
I love power lock, however at the moment I have Opti-Seal v2 on my truck and it is kicking ass! O-S seems to be finish finicky, that is it is also on half of my wifes not so perfect allroad, and it is not beading the same as it does on my truck, which was polished much more recently than the car. MPL beads well for weeks 6-8.
One layer is plenty, two is pushing it. For me, as someone who enjoys slapping a layer of wax or sealant on my vehicles, the durability that I see out of Power Lock is plenty. I can easily go two months before I need to re-apply another layer.
