Hey everyone! Just wanted to know what cameras are you guys and gals using out there for your awesome pictures and videos. I am planning on a photo shoot in two weeks and have a Canton t3 with the standard 18-55mm lens. Should I be looking for a better/different lens? Looking forward to your answers! :shead: Ken
Upgrade your glass if anything. I have the T3i with with the 24-105L and the nifty-fifty and I couldn't be happier with the images both produce. I hope to go full frame someday, but this suits my needs for the moment. I ditched the 18-55 and the 75-300. Not that they are bad lenses by any means, people have taken incredible images with them, but you may get higher quality images out of some better glass if used properly.
T2i, although depending on where I'm working and if I remembered my camera, my Iphone seems to suffice.
I have the Canon 50D with the 24-105L, 50mm 1.8 and the Tokina 11-16 2.8. Don't need anything else apart from maybe a nice zoom lens at some point. Here is a pic I took at the MotoGP in Austin two weeks ago. You can view them all here: MotoGP 2013
I would but I am spending too much $ on supplies for the shop lol. PM me when you have a min...:shakehead:
Awesome pics @ the MotoGP! Looks like everyone had a great time. Never been to one. I should check it out sometime.
I shoot a Nikon D90 with a Nikon 18-200mm, 35mm f/1.8 and a Nikon 105mm f/2 DC. You can upgrade your glass, but it is not required. If it is your first shoot, focus on the composition of your photos and lighting. Also, I'm not sure if it is possible where you are, but if you can rent a lens that is always a good option. For the few occasions that I've wanted a fast lens, I've rented a Nikon 70-200 F2.8. It normally costs $40 for the weekend which is way cheaper than going out and buying the lens.
Canon T2i, Canon 17-55 F/2.8 just about suits all my needs. I want to get something in the 75-200 range in the near future though (but for leisure use)
Great pics P1et!! I'm currently using a Nikon D60 with Nikkor 16-85. The extra little bit afforded by the 16 makes it perfect for shooting cars inside my shop.
