I've had my eye on an X5 for a while now and finally found one in Houston yesterday that met my needs. Drove there in a rental, struck a deal, dropped the rental off at the airport and drove home... It was raining cats and dogs in Houston yesterday, so gave her a quick wash this morning so I would show up at brunch with a fresh ride! The car is by no means perfect, but nothing a good detail cannot take care of. Some small blemishes on the front bumper and a small scratch here and there. Interior is quite clean! 2011 BMW X5 (CPO until October 2016) Alpine White Comfort Access Heated front seats M Sport Package Convenience Package Multi Contour Seats Technology Package Side View Cameras Active Ventilated Seat Package I am taking Tuesday off to do a full detail. Apologies for the garage looking a bit dirty...
Damn that is a nice ride! Looking forward to the write up soon. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2
Congratulations!!! 5.0 (4.4 twinturbo) right? Welcome to the world of BMW SUVs! Nice color too, although I personally prefer black, which is a pain in California. You are gonna love it!
Ken, you know I'm only going to use the FINEST of Swissvax waxes on this one! No, this is is the 35i so the N55 (same as my wife's 135i). I really needed something that got decent MPG, and I actually got 25mpg all the way from Houston to back home. I looked at a black one and since I already have two black cars, didn't want a third one. So now I have two black, and two white!
Nice! Fuel economy is where V8 suffers. I get 19-20 MPG pushing, on a highway. In the city - 12-13...so 21 gallons = 280 miles.
Congrats P1et! Love these and the wheels are awesome (SO WIDE!!!). Did you give up the truck for this or is that still in your convoy?
Thanks! Yes, the 315s in the back are pretty wide. The 21" wheels that BMW offers as an option are actually 325. Very fat. No, did not give up the truck (yet). I have four cars now, so something has to give. When I find the right buyer, it will be a sad day for me.
