I just bought the PC 7346SP at Lowe's and just wanting to make sure it will work with the Meguiars MF Correction Kit. I plan on picking up the kit this weekend and putting it to the test on my Black 08 Mustang that has some really bad swirls. Is there a difference between Random Orbital and DA? Is there anything else I would need to purchase besides the PC and the Meguiars kit? Thanks guys.
The PC 7346 is a dual-action random orbital polisher. Palm sanders are just random orbit were the pad oscillates in a random pattern. You can see the little pigtail patterns when you sand wood with a high grit paper. But the DA polisher's pad also spins around due to the centrifugal force. So you have action of the random orbits and the spinning pad together. That polisher will work fine with the Megs MF kit.
The Megs MF Kit and PC should give you some very good results. What polishes / wax or sealant are you planning on using?
I just received my MF Kit on Friday...now for a vehicle to use it on...I will use the compound and the finishing wax that came with it as the wax suppose to clean up the haze left behind from the compound.
