The clear coat on one of my doors started peeling, so I took it back to the dealer to have it warrantied. Went back to pick it up, to find the paint just completely hammered. I brought out the body shop manager to take a look. One of the fenders had just been painted a little over a month before this, and it looked one of the worst. You will see from the pictures the door they just repainted didn't look any better.

His response was "Well it is a black car, so that will happen." Guy was a d*ck to deal with. Offered to buff it himself. I didn't want them touching the car any further.

Used a GG6, Uber Pads, Megs MF pads
    Menz FG400
    Wolfs S&S
    Wolfs HB
    1Z Vinyl and Rubber

I washed, deconed, and clayed the car. Since I had clayed not long ago, didn't pick up much.

Swirls all over the car, with some deeper scratches. Some are cell pics and some are from my Nikon.

So, you get the idea... I spent HOURS upon HOURS correcting. Some deeper scratches remain, as I wasn't comfortable going more than 4 passes or so over the same area.

And some more finished shots. Weather was crap, so no sun pics unfortunately.

Nice job! I would complain to Chrysler Corporate.

Please send an invoice to the dealership. Keep in mind that 90% of punters would never complain, or even catch that. We are a bit of a special breed. Even at the best Austin bodyshop they gave me the "well, it's a black, car you will always have swirls" excuse when I was checking on a friend's truck who was getting ready to be picked up.

That is disgusting, they must have used the shop broom to wash that car.

    Great turn around though.

Thanks. The car made me sick when I picked it up from the dealer. I will be sure to post on any social media the dealer is apart of if things don't go well after contacting them. I would hope they would be reasonable though.

I will hopefully get some sun pictures here soon, if Indiana ever realizes it is Spring.
