This vehicle was purchased I believe in January and the owner contacted me inquiring about Opti-Coat...I was very happy to inform him that he was making a great choice. After agreeing on a price point and process, we set up a date and I got to work! Unfortunately I wasn't able to take many progress pictures due to a tight time constraint. The detail didn't start until after 4pm, so when I finished there was no light left. The owner had met me a few days later in a parking lot for some final pictures and so I could inspect the Opti-Coat and finish in the full sun.

    Products Used:
    Optimum No Rinse
    Adam's All Purpose Cleaner
    Adam's Glass Cleaner
    Meguiar's M105(in a few problem areas)
    Meguiar's M205
    Opti-Coat 2.0
    Adam's sVRT
Chemical Guy's Bare Bones Undercarriage Spray
    ONR(clay lube)
    Adam's Clay Bar
    ONR(detail spray)

Some pictures aren't the greatest...this is the first time I used this specific camera for a detail, I'm still getting used to it. Also, the sun was being difficult when the final pics were taken...we tried our best to scramble around the car when the sun was actually out from behind the clouds!

Make sure you take some pics. They are good looking cars. I wouldn't mind having the 4dr myself.

I sure will . I thought about the 4 door my self . But when I go that route I may get the EQUUS . That Is one sweet ride. I going to pickup a Rupes from Phil at the Detail Clinic and a few other goodies. Then I will give it the work over.

That looks amazing! With the M105 how bad would you say the area needs to be to use it? I've got a new black truck that got washed and has your regular swirl marks but wondering if I can do all the steps you did and if I should use 105 or just go to 205? Thanks!

Always try the least aggressive method first. Try M205 and check the results, if it's improved alot but not perfect...try another pass with M205 before stepping to M105. You can do various test spots with different products and methods and see which yields the best results. With M105 on black paint you will need to go over with M205 to clear up any hazing.
