Congrats man! get ready for a whirlwind! things will happen so fast. just remember to protect yourself, get a contract and a disclaimer and do a walk around with the client first so you cant get blamed for this or that. Dont cut corners and remember that your clients are the reason your in business, dont forget that! build a relationship not just a number on an invoice. Word of mouth is the best advertising :) Dont get roped into the mainstream advertising, However try to get on Angies List. after you get done a car ask if your client is part of angies list and ask if they would be willing to write a review, go to your past side clients (friends, family etc) and ask for a review. Ive figured out how to navigate AL properly and what todo and what not to do.

    Where are you located?

Yea im working on some pre-detail paperwork, including a graph of a car where i can mark any outstanding damage or defects prior to the job.

Im located near Atlanta, Ga. Should be a good market i cant wait to grow this thing.

I havent yet, im going to talk with my agent on what is necessary. Ill need a blanket policy to cover any vehicle i work on and cover me if damage were to happen in picking up or dropping off. (Although my car insurance would cover that i think)

Still workin out the bugs, everything should be set in stone in the next few weeks. Insurance will be soon as i have a BMW 335i in for full correction on Tuesday.

I have mine through State Farm its only $30 dollars a month. I run my business out of my garage its called garage keeper insurance and I have a pre-inspection form if you want one. No your car insurance doesn't cover you driving customers cars. Thats why I have a shuttle service.

Good luck man I am sure the PE14-2 will be put to more use now (of course once you get the hang of it more) than I was able to use it since you know I mainly only do my own personal vehicles.

Shoot me that pre-inspection for if you would id appreciate it.

And my auto insurance is bomb, it covers any car i personally drive, but the fact that id be driving it as an employee of my company could effect the coverage. Ill look into this garage keeper stuff....30 a month sounds nice lol.

Whole reason i bought it man. Need that speed. And the giggley DA gets old fast lol. Another reason id like a rupes still. But im loving the rotary world so far.

congrats man! watching person after person do this is great to see, people following what they really want to do. Like everyone else has said though get everything in order correctly, doing something and thinking it' be "ok" to skip on is stuff thatl creep up on ya and get ya in the end. PE will speed you up major too, and leave you very happy, especially since you're new to rotaries. Again congrats!

How hard is it to get LLC?
Any way to see if there is a business using the same name?
    How much does it cost?

    Congrats to the o.p.

PA is really easy to get signed up, First step is to register for your FEIN (Federal employer identification number IE: Tax ID) Fill out the online form and it will be given to you immediately Apply for an Employer Identification Number (EIN) Online

Once you have your number go here: Home read over everything, choose what type of business structure you want (I recommend LLC) and then choose "online business registration" and then "register online". then fill out the pa-100, also fill out sales and use tax, in PA you need to charge sales tax on services.

Name look up can be found here https://www.corporations.state.pa.us/corp/soskb/csearch.asp?corpsNav=|

Once you fill that out you fill all of that out your a business! ive set up quite a few companies and PA is by far the easiest to get registered, also a very friendly business state! takes between an hour to two hours from start to finish!

Looking into it. and Giggley got really old really fast loving my new rotary, been practicing the Zenith Point method and with a black pad and SF4500 got a hologram free finish on my Black mach 1- super happy when it happened.

Thanks man, yea im loving the rotary this far, Im gonna definitely spend alot more time with it before i use it on a clients car tho.

Thanks. Here in Ga, its 100, then 50 a year after that. I did a free name search a few weeks ago to make sure it wasnt taken in GA.

In Ga the articles of organization are a joke lol. Easier than PA probably. It essentially asks, your business name, what you are going to do, who is the organizer and thats about it.

My next step was the EIN actually, which i just did via that link- Thanks haha

Congrats man =). Keep it up. Once spring comes out around here I'll be filing for LLC as well. Already checked everything out to make sure I can and it's only a 25 dollar fee here.

Would you mind sending me that pre-inspection form as well pleaseeee. That would make my life so much easier than trying to find one I liked.

25 seems a bit cheap. Mine is 100 to start, but 50 a year after that.

Also note shook, youll need a business license as well! Another 100 bucks, doing that next week.

Client dropped off an 07 335i for correction today. Jet black, gonna make for some crazy 5050 shots.
