This car belonged to a friend of mine. He bought the car this past Summer, and it has under 40,000 miles on it... super low for a 12 year old car. Unfortunately the paint was not as well maintained as the engine, as you will see in the before pictures. Luckily this BMW black paint was pretty easy to work with, as most of the swirls were removed as were a good amount of the heavier defects. I used a 2 step compounding/polishing process on the hood and trunk as they were the worst, and only a single step polishing process on the sides of the car. I suppose I could have achieved a greater level of correction, however I felt a 12 year old car needs as much remaining clear coat is possible... all in all, the car looks a ton better. Black is soooo nice when it's clean.

    Process:
    - Wheels: Cleaned with P21S Gel
    - Pre Wash: Spot treated some dried on bugs with CG Bug and Tar
    - Wash: CG Citrus Wash and Gloss
    - Dried: DI Waffle Weave Microfiber
    - Clay: DI Fine Grade Clay with ONR as Lube
    - Taped off all plastic trim
    - Polish: M105 on LC White Pads & M205 on LC Black Pads via PC7424XP
    - Wiped down with 12% IPA Solution to remove any remaining polish residue
    - Sealant: CG Black light then wiped with CG V7
    - Wheels Sealed with Poorboy's Wheel Sealant (2 coats)
    - Tires: Meg's Endurance Gel

Beautiful work, it's rare to see a Z3 in this good of a condition these days.
