I've searched around for this topic and found some info, but still have questions. I jut purchased a '13 Ducati 848 corse edition in the test team matt black / silver. I know of Swissvax Opaque, but what kind of quick Detailers and rinse less washes can I use? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I have a Yamaha R6 and it is a mix of flat black and gloss black. I have used Adams waterless wash with great sucess as well as the Adams detail spray. And for heavier grime good old car shampoo and water. also I know chemicalguys has a Matte detailer, have not had a chance to try that yet though
I have the matte detailer, it is a very good product. I use it on my wheels........ looks and works great
yes, leaves it a more defined satin look. but its real intent is to clean off finger prints and smudge marks without leaving behind any gloss or polymers. I use it after I dress my tires, its a great product for removing any excess that gets on the wheels. I do use it on my vinyl wrapped grille and it looks great.
Awesome, thanks for all the help! So do you guys think the Swissvax opaque kit is worthwhile? I know 430.00 is kinda steep, but it has everything from wash, qd, wax, etc. and it seems as if I won't need anything else.
The price is too much for me. When I am getting great results with a adam's quick detailer/waterless wash and Chemical guys shampoo. but I also have never tryed the SW so it may be 100X better than what I am used to
I actually prefer out glass cleaner for matte paint... this camaro was painted matte black and red by wanda paints for LPE... we've maintained it from day 1 with Adam's Glass Cleaner and it looks fantastic.
That is a first.......... really, glass cleaner? if so that saves me money LOL can it be any specific non ammonia type?
Thanks for all the replies. One last question. What would you use on the tank? It's just bare aluminum.
